For more than 60 years, EIKBOOM GmbH has been designing, producing and supplying sophisticated components made of GRP (glass fibre reinforced plastic) to various industrial customers in Germany and abroad. Applications find the products in u.a. in vehicle construction, the wind turbine industry and in refrigeration plant construction. The company offers a variety of added value in small and medium-sized series.

Your tasks:

You  manufacture fibre composite components for our customers. The raw materials you work with on a daily basis are polyester resins, additives, glass mats, scrims, foams and other building components. You are responsible for the manufacture and completion of components according to work instructions and factory drawings.

• peparation and cutting of raw materials
• re- and prepairing moulds
• spraying gel coats
• working with open and closed mould technologies
• reworking of unfinished products with grinding, cutting and drilling tools / machines
• installation and assembly of other components
• finishing the GRP surfaces
• quality control

your qualifications:

You are in possession of a completed vocational training as a process mechanic / laminator or similar vocational training as a painter / varnisher / carpenter and ideally work experience on top. You are familiar with structured, conscientious and flexible work. Then we are happy to help shape your future.

Applications of our products can be found in vehicle construction, the wind turbine industry and refrigeration plant construction. The plastics processing industry has been experiencing stable growth for decades, and thus you could benefit from this training in the long term.

Training content:
You will be trained for 3 years in the manufacturing of fibre composite components. You will get to know exciting production processes and their special features.

You will learn these key aspects in the company training:

• preparation and cutting of raw materials

Requirement:

Ideally in possession of a secondary school certificate. Craft skills and technical understanding. Interest in materials and chemistry. Enjoing teamwork

 Your tasks:

Painters are responsible for the manufacture and refinement of surfaces. From spraying to painting to finishing, you can work on a complex and responsible range of tasks. They also take care of repairs to GRP components.

 These tasks await you in detail: 

• painting and sanding of GRP components
• coating molds / creating a UV-resistant surface
• coating with different fibre composites and reaction resins
• surface finish
• repair of GRP surfaces
• use of grinding machines and spray guns

  Your qualification:

 You are in possession of a completed vocational training as a vehicle painter and ideally with work experience on top. You are familiar with structured, conscientious and flexible work. Then we are happy to help shape your future.
